Description: The age-1-dental visit is the foundation for building a lifetime of good oral health. By beginning at an early age, children can have interactions that promote positive interactions with oral health professionals. Access to care is critical, but discussing ways to make this visit as pleasant as possible for the patient, parent/caregiver, and provider is a great place to start. This roundtable will be an engaging opportunity to discuss how to execute and promote age-1-dental visits. Understanding how to perform an age-1 dental visit and advocating for age-1 dental visits is essential to foster integrated collaborations. Sharing resources and personal experiences will empower oral health champions to implement age-1 dental visits as an indicator of health equity to promote oral health prevention and health literacy.
