Description: Few challenges strike as much fear in a dentist’s heart as the need to talk to one of their patients who has been harmed by their dental care. Amazingly, 93% of dentists surveyed feel unprepared and without the necessary resources to speak to their patient or peers when something goes wrong in dental practice. Luckily, our physician, nurse and pharmacy colleagues have already begun the journey towards embracing transparency and realizing a significant reduction in risk and liability. There is much that we can learn from them! Transparency is the responsibility of not just the dental provider, but the staff as well. Come learn and share your experiences and attitudes when confronted with such a situation. There is light at the end of the tunnel and that light shines upon the Dental Patient Safety Foundation!
