From Sampling to Analysis: A Hands-on Workshop for Epidemiologists and Analysts - Part II (requires registration for Part I)

Attendee Limit: Attendees must be staff of a State & Territorial Oral Health program. You must be signed up for Part 1 on Saturday to sign up for Part 2 Registration Fee: CEU's and fee is for both Parts 1 & 2. No partial CE or fee allowed

This interactive, hands-on session is designed for epidemiologists, data analysts, evaluators and other staff involved with the data aspects of a Basic Screening Survey. Participants will learn how to select a representative sample, manage data collection, clean and weight a data set, conduct appropriate analyses, generate data tables, and prepare data reports. Participants will need to bring a laptop with analysis software such as SAS or Epi Info.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to locate and download the files necessary to select a statewide BSS sample.
Participants will be able to select a representative sample of schools/sites.
Participants will be able to create a "smart" data entry program.
Participants will be able to analyze BSS data including creation of sampling weights.
