Everyone loves the world renowned theme parks Orlando is famous for, but we wanted you to know about a few other places to see and things to do while in Orlando as recommended by NOHC's colleagues in the area:
Orlando Proper:
Leu Gardens - Beautiful gardens with walking paths and a large collection of camelias. Register for special tours, classes and events.
Lake Eola - in the heart of downtown Orlando. Rent a swan shaped paddle boat and enjoy the views. Learn more
Well's Built Museum of African American History and Culture - The Well's Built Hotel was converted into a museum housing memorabilia of Orlando's African-American community and displays on the Civil Rights movement along with art and artifacts. Book a tour.
Orlando Museum of Art - Founded in 1924, their mission is to inspire creativity, passion and intellectual curiosity by connecting people with art and new ideas. Book a tour.
Orlando Museums - Spend some time at one of its many cultural museums including the Morse Museum which has the largest collection of Tiffany glass in the world, or the Albin Polasek Museum (be sure to take the docent led tour). Visit Orlando Museums
Venture out just a little further:
Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive - A unique, one-way, 11 mile drive through the park offering extraordinary bird watching and is one of the top three birding areas in the state with over 369 different species recorded on property. More information.
Kennedy Space Center - Feel the power of a rocket launch, stand nose-to-nose with Space Shuttle Atlantis and walk among the giants of space exploration. This is one adventure worth staying another day for! More information.
Florida Southern College - The college has 18 buildings designed by the legendary architect Franklin Lloyd Wright. Daily tours available.
This Universal Orlando Partner Hotel is a short walk from Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Florida, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and Universal’s Island of Adventure. Universal’s Volcano Bay, the Orlando International Premium Outlets, and the Mall at Millenia are within two miles.
All meetings and events for NOHC 2023 will be held at the hotel.

Special NOHC Room Rates: The NOHC negotiated room rates during the conference are $189/night single or double occupancy plus applicable taxes. Triple occupancy $209/night plus taxes and Quadruple occupancy at $229/night plus taxes. A maximum of four guests per room is allowed.

The prices we pay for items associated with the conference (room rates, food prices, AV, etc.) are determined in part by the number of attendees that stay in the host hotel room block. Self-parking is $29.00/day and $38.00/day for valet. The hotel is approximately 18 miles from Orlando International Airport and 32 miles from Sanford Municipal Airport.
