Lubaina Presswala, DO, is an assistant attending physician and assistant professor of clinical medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in Manhattan, New York. Prior to her role at MSKCC since May 2022, Dr. Presswala was an assistant professor of medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell from 2018 to 2022 after graduating from her endocrinology fellowship at the same institution. She was a faculty endocrinologist at North-Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center (NS-LIJ) from 2018-2022. She was course director for endocrine grand rounds and has participated as principal and assistant clinical investigator for clinical trials at Northwell and other institutions during her doctoral and post-doctoral training. She has served on the residency interview committee at NS-LIJ and now serves on the glycemic practice committee at MSKCC. Dr. Presswala has contributed to medical innovation by implementing CGM notes within the MSK system in collaboration with their teams. Dr. Presswala has published several peer-reviewed articles and co-authored many textbook chapters. Her special interests are in the fields of diabetes in chronic kidney disease, diabetes in cancer, diabetes technology, and immunotherapy mediated endocrinopathies. She has mentored several students, residents, and fellows and continues to enjoy teaching.
