Vanessa I. Villamil is an ORISE Fellow on the Applied Prevention Science Team in the Division of Overdose Prevention, at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In her role she serves as a Prevention Science Officer, providing technical assistance and support to jurisdictions for the Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) cooperative agreement. She received her MPH in Epidemiology from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and her BHS with a concentration in Public Health from the University of Florida. Previously, she worked at the local level as an injury epidemiologist with the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County. She is originally from Miami, FL.
