Senior Director, Division for Statistical and Data Sciences
RTI International
Washington, District of Columbia
Jill A. Dever, a senior director in the Division for Statistical and Data Sciences, has worked in survey research for more than 25 years. At RTI, she oversees sampling design, data analyses, and quality control for large, complex surveys in areas such as health and health care, and including, for example, internet panels, address-based sampling (ABS), and data obtained from multiple sources. Dr. Dever’s current research focuses on variance estimation with calibrated analysis weights for multistage and multiphase survey designs and population inference with samples drawn without a defined probabilistic structure (i.e., nonprobability sampling). She is an elected Fellow of the American Statistical Association; a regular contributor to reports from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine; teaches courses in various venues around the world on variance estimation, survey sampling, weighting, and programming techniques; and the recipient of the 2020 American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) Book Award.
