Rebecca Goldberg has over 15 years of experience leading large scale public health programming addressing HIV, drug user health and mental health. With early work experience providing direct services to people with HIV, substance use disorders, mental illness, and unstable housing, her current program management and executive leadership is rooted a strong understanding of the systemic gaps in healthcare and the social determinants that impact an individual's ability to thrive. Rebecca’s research and evaluation specialty includes novel overdose prevention programming, drug and drug using behavior trends, public health and public safety partnerships, and burnout prevention for providers. At the height of the pandemic in New York City, Rebecca oversaw operations of the nation’s first COVID-19 testing sites, a temporary field hospital, and the largest mass vaccination site in the state. She currently serves as Opioid Program Manager in the Office of Drug User Health at the New York State Department of Health, AIDS Institute.
