Jennifer has represented Clark Co Kentucky on the Kentucky Community Advisory Board for the HEALing Communities Study since its launch. As a lifelong Kentucky resident, she is a registered nurse with over 28 years of public health experience. Since 2010 her work has largely focused on community health assessment, improvement planning and coalition building and maintenance. Since 2017 she has provided oversight for the Clark County Harm Reduction Syringe Exchange Program and has served on the Northeast Kentucky Substance Use Response Coalition, serving 17 counties, since its inception in 2019. In her work, she has conducted interviews among individuals in active addiction and in recovery to inform program development. As the family member of a person in long-term recovery, she is hopeful that her contributions will evoke meaningful change for individuals, families, and the community, especially involving the stigma associated with substance use disorder.
