Jane Sanville currently serves as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), Executive Office of the President. She has served in various roles at ONDCP, including as the Acting Assistant Director and Staff Director for the Office of Demand Reduction and Chief of the Prevention Branch. She received recognition from the Surgeon General for her contributions to the implementation of the National Prevention Strategy. Ms. Sanville also initiated an effort to expand understanding and local utilization of Community Benefit – a provision of the IRS tax code that enables communities to secure resources for prevention in collaboration with local hospitals. She previously served at the White House Office of National AIDS Policy (ONAP), at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Institute of Medicine. While at ONAP she led the effort to develop the first National AIDS Strategy. At NIH, she was part of a team that established a community-based HIV/AIDS clinical trials program which included clients with co-occurring substance use disorders. Ms. Sanville earned an A.B. from Vassar College and an M.P.H. from the University of Michigan.
