Robert May, RxCheck Program Director, IJIS Institute
Robert May currently serves as the IJIS Institute’s RxCheck Program Director. In that capacity, he provides both program management and training and technical assistance as well as and oversight of maintenance and operational support for the RxCheck Hub. He manages the onboarding process for states and health care integrations and the work of the technology contractor team member (Tetra Ventures) to ensure states are able to continue to share prescription data in a secure and efficiently.

Mr. May has more than 45 years of experience in criminal justice and law enforcement. He has also managed information sharing projects in justice and health, corrections reentry, PREA, gang intelligence, and information sharing strategies for corrections, law enforcement and state systems. He served as chair of the Global Advisory Committee’s Critical Nontraditional Information Exchange Task Team and led the development of the technology roadmap for the Colorado statewide behavioral health information exchange.

Bob is a graduate of the 138th Session of the FBI National Academy, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in behavioral science from the University of Maryland and has completed post-graduate work in Criminal Justice Administration through the University of Virginia.
