Dr. Xiaoni Zhang is a Professor of Business Informatics, and director of Masters of Business Informatics Program at Northern Kentucky University. She received her PhD in Business Computer Information Technology from University of North Texas, and MBA from Huron University and a bachelor’s degree majoring agronomy from Hebei University Handan College. Her research has centered on the behavioral perspective of technology adoption, health data analytics, and healthcare research methods. She has published numerous peer-reviewed journal papers. In 2010, she won the Sustained Excellence in Scholarly Activities Award at Northern Kentucky University. Her research projects include early prevention of opioid use disorder for young people, systematic review of telemedicine on OUD treatment, COVID-19 vaccination hesitancy, health clinical decision support systems on Type 2 diabetics, health information exchange, use of mobile health applications to promote health and wellness to college students, text mining analysis on OUD mobile apps, and the impact of single sign-on on emergency departments. Currently she works on a substance use disorder grant analyzing claim data on Kentucky Medicaid beneficiaries.
