Nancy Worthington is a Health Scientist on the Public Health and Public Safety Team in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Division of Overdose Prevention. Prior to joining CDC, she taught anthropology and science studies at Fordham University, Miami University, and Wesleyan University, studied surgical humanitarianism in Honduras, and coordinated a needle exchange and naloxone distribution program in New York City. She has a PhD in sociomedical sciences and an MPH in research from Columbia University.
