Jacqueline Hackett is the Deputy Chief of Staff at the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, a component of the Executive Office of the President. In this role she supports the Chief of Staff and Director in the development and implementation of the National Drug Control Strategy, as well as the Agency’s overall mission and strategic priorities. Previously, Ms. Hackett served as the Senior Policy Advisor for Public Health and as Deputy Director for Intergovernmental and Public Liaison at ONDCP.
Before joining ONDCP, Ms. Hackett served as a Management and Program Analyst at the Department of Health and Human Services, and worked at the Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the Impaired Driving Division. She was selected as a member of HHS’ Emerging Leaders Program which encourages young professionals to grow in public service roles through the Federal government. Ms. Hackett has more than 20 years’ experience in drug prevention where she works with peer-to-peer programs and on substance use awareness campaigns in higher education.
Ms. Hackett earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Public Policy) and Human Services, and her Master of Public Policy from The George Washington University. She holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins’ Bloomberg School of Public Health where she focused on Health Advocacy and Public Health Communications. Ms. Hackett is pursuing her Doctorate in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University where she serves as a Doctoral Fellow with the Bloomberg American Health Initiative.
