Felisha Richards is the Network and Special Projects Director and the RCORP Poject Director for Your Community Health Center. She has over ten years of combined experience within the behavioral health and higher education fields. In her role she is leading four federally funded substance misuse projects that work in five rural communities.
She is responsible for leading grants and special projects that assist in developing a comprehensive system of care that connects the health care and service agencies in her rural communities. She has mobilized a multi-faceted network to support prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts. Specically, she has developed and implemented the health center's Mobile Unit that provides integrated care (primary care, oral health, and behavioral health) and medications for opioid use disorder to those who have limited access to treatment. She recently developed a network that focuses on improving access to maternal health care, birth outcomes, improve birthweight of babies in the region and link moms using substances to treatment and recovery services.
Richards holds a Master of Business Administration from Missouri Science and Technology and is active in her community.
