Rachel Redding, MPH, CHES, PMP, is a senior analyst on ASTHO's Opioid Preparedness, Response, and Surveillance team within Social and Behavioral Health. She is the project lead for Project ECHO: OD-FIT, a pilot training for coroners and medical examiners funded by CDC to improve death reporting and mortality data. Prior to her current work, Ms. Redding worked for the NYC DOH Bureau of Communicable Disease in Hepatitis C screening, prevention, and treatment. Ms. Redding has extensive experience working in harm reduction and drug user health, having worked closely with city syringe exchange programs and harm reduction centers. With over four years of technical assistance, capacity building, and program management experience, she looks forward to continuing to improve the health of people who use drugs.
She received her MPH in health policy and management from CUNY School of Public Health and Health Policy and holds her BS in Health Sciences from James Madison University. She is CHES and PMP certified. Her hobbies include reading, true trime podcasts, and relaxing with her boston terrier Millie. She currently resides in Arlington, Virginia.
