David Johnson, MSW, ACSW currently serves as the CEO for the Fletcher Group to promote effective practices and public policy to improve capacity and quality of programs and services addressing substance use disorders. He has over 40 years’ experience in mental health and substance use treatment services in both academic and private sector settings. He has held positions ranging from psychiatric social worker, Professor and Chair of Social Work at Boise State University, Senior Manager in Managed Care, to Chief Administrative Officer and Professor for Department of Psychiatry Clinical Services at Wayne State University. Dave has provided leadership in program development and evaluation with a specific focus on holistic service models that address physical health, mental health, substance use, and social drivers of health incorporating patient reported outcomes to inform clinical care. Dave holds a master’s degree in social work from Rutgers, School of Social Work.
