Casey Carringer is the Director of Clinical Engagement for Ballad Health within the Department of Population Health. Prior to joining Ballad Health in 2018, Ms. Carringer was the Practice Manager at State of Franklin OB/GYN Specialists in Johnson City, Tennessee. During her tenure the practice was the first in the region to successfully implement group prenatal care and midwifery services. Since joining Ballad Health, Ms. Carringer has served the Project Director on federally-funded Health Resources and Services Administration, Appalachian Regional Commission and Department of Labor grants.The PEERhelp program is funded by these grants and focuses on utilizing the peer recovery workforce to address the mortality and morbidity associated with substance use in the rural central-Appalachian region. The PEERhelp program connects justice-involved individuals in recovery to needed social services with the goal of gainful employment. Ms. Carringer has been awarded the Top Forty Under 40 and the Healthcare Hero recognition by the Tri-Cities Business Journal. Ms. Carringer serves on the board of the Junior League of Johnson City and Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians.Ms. Carringer has also served as an advisor for various councils such as the Tennessee Medical Association’s Best Practices for Episodes of Care and the Triple Aim and the National Council for Financing Group Prenatal Care. She has a passion for improving the health literacy, outcomes and satisfaction for the members of our region and aspires to continue these efforts through her role with Ballad Health and the Population Health Department.
