Psychostimulants, such as methamphetamine, are playing a greater role in overdose deaths, even as the opioid overdose crisis continues. This session will examine the methamphetamine trend, including its interplay with opioids. Presenters will discuss promising strategies already underway, as well as recommend research that would improve prevention, treatment, and harm reduction responses.

Discuss recent overdose trends, including overdoses involving psychostimulants (e.g., methamphetamine)
Describe changing methamphetamine use patterns
Discuss the role of the methamphetamine supply in rising methamphetamine use and overdose
