The COVID pandemic highlights the importance of ensuring that mental health professionals have the comfort, agility, sophistication, and skillsets needed to address grief in clinical settings. During this session, attendees will learn how to assess for and support patients who present with acute, integrated, and prolonged grief. A special focus will be placed on the evaluation and treatment of Prolonged Grief Disorder (PGD), a diagnosis now formally recognized in the DSM-V-TR.
