Dr Robert F. Sidonio Jr is an Associate Professor of Paediatrics at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, United States, and the Associate Director of the Haemostasis and Thrombosis Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Atlanta, United States. He is also the Director of Clinical Operations and Clinical Research of the Haemostasis and Thrombosis Program.
Dr Sidonio attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Louisville/Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. He was a fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre/Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, where he also received his Master of Science in clinical research.
Dr Sidonio has specialised in paediatrics and his clinical research focuses on the management of women with bleeding disorders. He is currently investigating the bleeding phenotype of haemophilia A and B carriers, and is also interested in haemophilia A inhibitors and novel immune tolerance regimens. Dr Sidonio is a member of several scientific societies and committees, including the American Society of Haematology (ASH), and has published numerous papers in professional journals and abstracts in the proceedings of international scientific congresses.
