Catherine McGuinn, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM - USA) in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
Clinically, Dr. McGuinn's is focused on non-malignant hematology, specifically, hemostasis. Dr. McGuinn completed her undergraduate work at Yale University receiving a Bachelor of Arts in History. A native of New York City, she returned to New York where she received her medical degree from New York University's School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital at the Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. McGuinn remained at Columbia for her fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
Currently Dr. McGuinn is at Weill Cornell Medicine as the the Director of the federally designated Weill Cornell- New York Presbyterian Hospital (NYPH) Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) with a focus on collaborative clinical research in the management of bleeding disorders.
Additionally, Dr. McGuinn is the Associate Director of the combined Pediatric Hematology Oncology Fellowship Program at NYPH and Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center (MKSCC). Dr. McGuinn's goal is to combine an expertise in bleeding disorders with an innovative and effective training program to educate the next generation of pediatric hematologists in the field of hemostasis.
