Nikolaus Binder was born in 1980 in Vienna, Austria. Following his studies of medicine at the Medical University of Vienna, where he obtained his MD degree in 2005, he entered a PhD program on molecular signal transduction at the Medical University , where he obtained his PhD degree in 2009. After 3 years working abroad at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, USA, he joint Technoclone in 2013 as CSO. His recent work has focused on the optimization of TTP diagnostics which included a first of its kind rapid ADAMTS13 test and a fully automated solution for ADAMTS13 activity measurement and the proof of principle of a fast and fully automated FVIII functional inhibitor test and novel Lupus tests.
