Dr.Ampaiwan received medical degree and diplomas of The Thai Board of Pediatrics and Hematology.

She has had further studies concerning bleeding disorders in Malmo Sweden in 1986, Denver, Colorado USA in 1986 to 1987, a short visit to Nara, Japan in 1990 and several visits to Sheffield, UK during 1991 to 1994. Dr.Ampaiwan is one of the Thai expert committee in arranging nationwide treatment for early bleeding episodes and low dose prophylaxis for Thai hemophilia. Dr Ampaiwan currently the Director of the International Hemophilia Training Center-Bangkok, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand.
