Colton Strong, BSc (Honours) McGill University, is a PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Centre for Blood Research. He is a using lipid nanoparticle technology to functionalize donor platelets as a next-generation cell therapy and is motivated to use nanomedicines to treat blood diseases and coagulopathy. Colton is supported by the Fredrick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarships Masters Award. Attendance of ISTH 2022 is supported by the ISTH Early Career Travel Award, Centre for Blood Research Travel Award, and NanoMedicines Innovation Network (NMIN) travel awards.
