Prof. Richard Lemons, MD, PhD, is Professor with Tenure in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, at the University of Utah, United States. Prof. Lemons holds a PhD in Chemistry and a Postgraduate Certificate in Conflict Mediation. He was a Fellow at National Institutes of Health (Cancer Bio Research) and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (NRSA Tumor Cell Biology), and Resident at Johns Hopkins Hospital (Paediatrics) Baltimore, MD. He has been an Appointed Member of the Huntsman Cancer Institute since 1996 and is a member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has been Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator for a variety of grant projects, authored over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles and has been a Reviewer for journals such as Leukaemia, American Journal of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, and New England Journal of Medicine. Prof. Lemons has experience delivering course lectures and clinical teaching, has given Grand Rounds Presentations on Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, and oral presentations both nationally and internationally, and has been a clinical investigator in multiple bleeding disorder clinical trials.
