Biography
Susan Halimeh is a Medical Director of the Gerinnungszentrum Rhein-Ruhr (CCC)
and the University hospital in Essen, Germany..
After she completed her medical education at the medical school of medicine in Hannover Germany. She worked as a Resident in the department of pediatrics of Hematology and Oncology at the Münster University Germany, where she obtained her qualification as a specialist in Paediatrics. Afterwards she worked as a resident in the Private Institute for transfusions medicine and blood bank Duisburg where she obtained her qualification as a specialist in Haemostaseology and Transfusion medicine. Afterwards and till 2010 she worked as a Medical Director of the MVZ Laboratory Duisburg GmbH (Germany), a Comprehensive care Centre of Haemophilia and Institute of Thrombosis and Coagulation.
Dr. Halimeh is a member of the international Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis ISTH, Member of the World Federation of Haemophilia WFH and member of the Thrombosis & Haemostasis Society GTH.
The research interest of Dr. Halimeh is focused and concentrated on the diagnosis and treatment of haemophilia with special interest in cases of von Willebrand diseases and rare bleeding disorders.
