Dr. Rita Orbán-Kálmándi is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Laboratory Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Debrecen, Debrecen, Hungary. She defended her PhD thesis at the end of 2021 and she has started the clinical biochemistry residency program this year. She is a member of the Lóránd Eötvös Research Network (ELKH-DE Cerebrovascular Research Group) and Vascular Biology, Thrombosis and Hemostasis Research Group working under the supervision of Dr. Zsuzsa Bagoly. The topic is her thesis was in vitro clot lysis assays for the prediction of outcomes in acute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes. Her current focus of research includes special hemostasis and fibrinolysis investigations in cerebro-and cardiovascular diseases (clot lysis assay, platelet aggregation studies, rotational thromboelastometry (ROTEM). She has been conducting seminars and practical classes for medical students, she has also been a co-supervisor of several graduate students.
