Postdoctoral researcher
INSERM U1260
Currently,a postdoctoral researcher in the INSERM-1260 at CRBS in Strasbourg, I have a strong interest in translational research specifically in microvesicles (MVs) as cellular effectors, mainly in cardiac and metabolic disorders.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at the Lebanese International University (LIU) and a master’s degree at the University of La Rochelle in Biotechnology. This formation provides a solid knowledge in nanobiotechnology and cellular communication.
I have done my PhD in biotechnology at Strasbourg university,I studied the role of the splenic microenvironment on the MV-mediated remote endothelial senescence in a murine model of periodontitis. I acquired multiple skills from primary cell culture to pre-clinical expertise, flow cytometry, western blot, biphotonic microscopy and strong expertise in MVs characterization from fluids, tissues and cells. I compared splenic-tissue derived MVs and plasma MVs using multiple approaches including prothrombinase assays and Qnano (TRPS). I contributed to related projects focusing on the pharmacological modulation of endothelial senescence. In parallel,I obtained the Clinical Trial Investigation diploma from the Faculty of Medicine of Strasbourg.I was also selected by the pedagogical commission of the Faculty of Medicine of Strasbourg to become an instructor in charge of 64 hours of tutorials during my second and third years of my PhD (50 students/session).
During my Bachelor studies, I had a former teaching experience in English and French in Beirut, covering biology and chemistry (5 hours per school day).
I wish to extend my knowledge to large MVs and exosomes to develop theragnostic approaches that will require accurate monitoring of extracellular vesicles in various pathologies, my postdoctoral project focuses on the interaction between MVs and NETs in pathologies associated with immune-thrombosis.
In the future, I imagine to build-up new strategies for the production and monitoring of vesicles of diagnosis or therapeutic values in preclinical or clinical studies and to become an international lecturer.
