Mirta Schattner PhD, Laboratory of Experimental Thrombosis at the Institute of Experimental Medicine (IMEX) of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICET), National Academy of Medicine (ANM), Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Professor at the Department of Biological Chemistry, Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, University of Buenos Aires.
I received my PhD in Pharmacology from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Buenos Aires.
Since 1998, I have been the Head of the Laboratory of Experimental Thrombosis at IMEX, CONICET-ANM.
My main research area is the biology of platelets and megakaryocytes with a particular interest in their role in inflammatory/infectious processes
