My name is Ernest A. Shcheglov, Doctor of Medicine. I am a vascular surgeon. I have been a doctor since 1992. Almost all his professional life I worked in the Petrozavodsk emergency hospital. I also work as a professor of the surgical department of Petrozavodsk State University. I completed my doctoral studies in 2013. My doctoral thesis was devoted to the problem of phlebogonoarthrosis (osteoarthritis of the knee joint in a patient with varicose veins). Another problem of my professional interest is the problem of the safety of anticoagulants in patients with deep vein thrombosis. In our hospital, we have developed a special diagnostic algorithm, thanks to which there has not been a single major bleeding over the past 14 years.
I am also proud to announce that I have been an honorary citizen of Minnesota since 1990.
