As a Scientist, I work at the close intersection of clinical laboratory research and translational medicine in a patient-centric environment, and my goal is to unravel the complex immune-immune cell interactions, and to design novel therapeutic approaches to target/exploit the host immune system to improve the patient outcome. Currently, I'm working to better understand how antibodies modulate immune response, and lead to thromboinflammation and thromboembolic complications in patients, with a special focus on COVID-19 disease, vaccine-induced thrombosis/thrombocytopenia (VITT) and immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).
