Patrick F. Fogarty, M.D. is a Global Clinical Lead (Secondment) in Rare Disease Global Product Development at Pfizer Inc. An ABIM-certified hematologist, he received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, and, following a residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C., he completed a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the National Institutes of Health, in Bethesda, Maryland.

After directing federally-funded Hemophilia Treatment Centers as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, he joined Pfizer Rare Disease Medical Affairs in 2015. He currently serves on the ISTH Membership and Communications Committee.
