Miss Beth Webb has just submitted her thesis at the University of Leeds on platelet cyclic-AMP inhibitory signalling pathways, under the supervision of Professor Khalid Naseem. Prior to her PhD, Beth was a research assistant at the University of Leeds in Professor Helen Philippou's group working on a project relating to thrombosis. Beth also has a first-class (Hons) BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Huddersfield. Beth is a platelet society early career working group member, co-host of the Probably Platelets podcast, and social media officer for the Royal Society of Biology Yorkshire branch. She also runs her own social media channels where she is actively involved in science communication and outreach, as well as sharing her PhD experience.
