Ahmed Elwakiel is a research scientist at the institute of laboratory medicine, clinical chemistry & molecular diagnostics in the medical faculty of Leipzig University, Germany. His work focuses on studying the signaling of coagulation proteases as possible therapeutic targets in the context of acute and chronic kidney injuries. Ahmed has graduated in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Ain-Shams University in Egypt. Ahmed holds a master’s degree in pharmacology (2013). Since 2016, Ahmed is working in Germany.
