Dr Rutvi G Dave is a haematopathologist awarded 14 Gold Medals and has been throughout university first during MBBS and MD Pathology. She did a post-doctoral fellowship in Laboratory Haematology at one of the most prestigious Medical Institution in India, the Christian Medical College Vellore from 2015-to 2017. She is currently Associate Professor at the Christian Medical College Vellore. She is internationally recognized for performance excellence and contributions to success in healthcare with numerous publications and awards. She volunteers considerable time to the bleeding disorder community conducting hands-on-wet workshops and holding training sessions on the lab diagnosis of bleeding disorders worldwide. She is an Established resource person, trainer and speaker at
numerous National and International Hematology conferences and workshops, including the World
Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) Training of Trainers to train laboratory haematologists worldwide.
She is actively involved in clinical diagnosis and clinical research involving coagulation disorders, platelet function disorders, arterial thrombosis and inherited thrombophilia.
Her research work also involves flow cytometry-based procoagulant platelets detection and flow cytometric platelet function testing, as a result of which she is also the primary panel member on the projects conducted by the International Society on Thrombosis & Haemostasis (ISTH) platelet physiology/platelet immunology /vascular biology Scientific and Standardisation Committee (SSC) responsible for developing international expert consensus recommendations. She is also actively involved in several clinical trials of novel therapeutics used for haemophilia and rare bleeding disorders. Her laboratory is also a preferred training centre in haematology for laboratory personnel who are awarded fellowships by WFH/ISTH and ASH.
