After graduating in Biological Sciences, I obtained a PhD in Experimental Hematology at the University of Milan. For more than twenty years I have been working in the research laboratory at the Angelo Bianchi Bonomi Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center, hosted within the IRCCS Ca' Granda Foundation, Maggiore Policlinico Hospital in Milan. My main researches were focused on investigation of rare coagulation disorders aimd at understanding the effect of natural genetic variants on the mechanism leading to the disease. In addition, in the last years I have been focusing my research interest on the data collection with the deveolpment of databases aimed at collecting data on demographics, phenotype, genotype, bleeding manifestations, treatment and its complications with the final goal of defining the natural history of the diseases and understand how to manage patients affected with rare bleeding disorders.
