Pratiksha Sarangi is a PhD scholar in the Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. She has completed her Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela. She joined the Molecular Genetics and Therapeutics Lab in 2017 and she has been working on development of novel therapeutic strategies using adeno-associated virus for the treatment of hemophilia and its comorbidities. She is inclined to explore gene-editing tools such as CRISPR/Cas9 and bioengineered AAV vectors for long-term therapeutic rescue in bleeding disorders.
