Dr Emma Leitinger, MBBS (Hons) BMedSci, FRACP, FRCPA, currently works as a Hemostasis and Thrombosis fellow at Monash Health in Melbourne. In 2011, she graduated from the University of Melbourne with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, First-Class Honours. Dr Leitinger is also a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia (FRCPA). She has a strong interest in thrombosis and coagulation studies, and has co-authored several publications, including an abstract entitled “Determining the rate of anti-PF4 antibody positive results in patients presenting with venous thrombosis but a normal platelet count following ChAdOx1 Ncov-19 AstraZeneca vaccination: An Australian combined state testing centre experience” which was published in Blood in 2021.
