Maria Drayss is working as a clinician scientist for the Department of Internal Medicine I and the Institute for Experimental Biomedicine I of the University Hospital Wuerzburg. Besides her training in cardiology her special interest belongs to platelet function and fibrinolysis in critically ill patients. In cooperation with the Department of Pediatrics she is also investigating platelet function in neonates and septic pediatric patients.
