Allen Li is a second-year medical student trainee at the University of Ottawa. His primary research foci have been on reporting practices for clinical trials and meta-analytic methodology and his clinical research focus has been in cardiovascular medicine and surgery, and venous thromboembolism. He has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and received over 30k in the past year in research support. Allen intends on pursuing a clinician investigator training pathway for his residency and is supported by the American Society of Hematology HONORS (Hematology Opportunities for the Next Generation of Research Scientists) Award. He currently serves as one of the founders/directors of the Department of Medicine, Undergraduate Research Program at McMaster University, and works closely with the department on facilitating a research program that aims to foster the next generation of clinician-scientists.
Allen's works in research and thromboembolism owe much to the support and mentorship of Drs.
