Michael Recht MD, PhD is the Chief Science Officer of the American Thrombosis and Hemostasis Network (ATHN). ATHN is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by bleeding and clotting disorders. To fulfill its mission, ATHN provides technology and scientific services to a network of bleeding and clotting disorder treatment centers and multi-disciplinary providers. ATHN supports a growing portfolio of research projects and grants as well as a national dataset available to researchers. As ATHN's CSO, Dr. Recht works at the strategic and policy level to inform the scientific direction of the organization. Dr. Recht works across ATHN's organization to define, develop, and implement ATHN's science and research strategy.
