PhD Student
Blood and Vascular Biology Research Lab, Department of Life Sciences, School of Life Sciences, Central University of Tamil Nadu
I am Ms. Chitrali Laha Roy, pursuing Ph.D. degree and currently in my second year, under the mentorship of Dr. Meganathan Kannan at the Central University of Tamil Nadu, India. My research work is primarily focused on Hemophilia. During the first year of my Ph.D. training, I have been fortunate to work at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India. I also have a postgraduate degree in MSc. Biochemistry from Bangalore University, India, and have passed as a Gold Medalist from the same University. Before that, I also completed my Bachelors in Biochemistry (B.Sc. in Biochemistry) from Calcutta University, India.
I was born in Kolkata which is a city in the West Bengal state of India. I am proficient in three languages- English, Hindi, and Bengali. When I am not involved in my research studies, I indulge myself in singing and cooking Bengali dishes.
I have always been fascinated by research and academia, and the people associated with it. I have aligned my career accordingly and my objective is to achieve excellence in the field of biological sciences. As of now, I am looking forward to obtaining the Ph.D. degree as soon as possible and thereafter continuing with post-doctorate training from an esteemed global university/institution. Professionally, I want to establish myself as a researcher/academician.
