Masamitsu Nakayama was engaged in research on anti-thrombotic coating materials for lower limb stents at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Keio University. He is currently engaged in the development of next-generation antiplatelet agents at Tokai University School of Medicine. He is interested in developing medical devices that solve needs in the medical field and joined the Japan Biodesign Fellowship in 2020. Through the fellowship, he became aware of the interesting and challenging nature of medical device development.
