Gaukhar obtained her bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty, Kazakhstan). After winning the Scholarship of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, she received an opportunity to get a Master’s degree at University College London, UK, where her research was dedicated to Alzheimer’s study. Since 2019, Gaukhar is a PhD-student in TiCardio, an EU-sponsored Marie Skłodowska-Curie program, and has been doing her research at two universities: Maastricht University, the Netherlands and Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, Germany.
