Researcher
Dzhanelidze Research Institute of Emergency Medicine
In 2007 I graduated from the Crimea Medical University with a degree in General Medicine. Moved to St. Petersburg to complete internship in general surgery at the Department of Vascular Surgery at Dzhanelidze Research Institute of Emergency Medicine. In 2015, I successfully defended the thesis (PhD) on the topic: "The prognostic significance of hereditary and acquired risk factors for venous thromboembolism in young patients". I’m interested in problems of pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of acute venous thromboembolism, especially in the hereditary predisposition to venous thrombosis. For a long time I have been working with the head of the biochemistry laboratory of the Research Institute of Hematology and Transfusiology. We investigated DNA in patients with venous thromboembolism. My target study groups are patients up to 45 y.o. as the potential carriers of polymorphisms of genes associated with the high risk of venous thromboembolism. I am the author of more than 20 scientific publications and a regular participant in congresses devoted to the problems of thrombosis and hemostasis, as well as vascular pathology.
