Daisy Jones is a 1st year BHF-funded PhD student in Professor Anna Randi’s laboratory within the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London. Daisy graduated with a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Surrey in 2020, where she developed a keen interest for vascular science.
In 2020, Daisy spent 3 months as a laboratory technician in the Imperial College London’s lighthouse laboratory for COVID-19 diagnostic testing. In 2021 she moved to Prof. Randi’s lab to work on a drug screen project with the aim of identifying inhibitors of COVID-19-related endothelial activation and thrombosis. As a PhD student, Daisy is investigating the transcriptional regulation of coagulation proteins in the endothelium across various human organs.
