Loredana Bury is a researcher working at the Department of Medicine and Surgery, Section of Internal and Vascular Medicine of the University of Perugia, Italy. She graduated in Biology and achieved her PhD in Molecular and Cellular Pathology at University of Perugia. Her research is focused on genetics and molecular biology applied to inherited platelet and coagulation disorders, basic research on the process of regulation of gene expression in platelets, functional tests to assess platelet function. She participated actively in several collaborative ISTH studies on the bleeding risk of patients with inherited platelet disorders during surgery and delivery and on the validation of the ISTH bleeding assessment tool (BAT) for inherited platelet disorders. She is co-chair of the Scientific and Standardization Subcommittee (SSC) on Genomics in Thrombosis and Haemostasis of the ISTH.
