Junior Researcher
Center for Theoretical Problems of Physicochemical Pharmacology
My name is Olga An and I am a Junior Researcher in the Center for Theoretical Problems of Physico-Chemical Pharmacology of RAS and Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology, Moscow, Russia. I received my Master's degree in Medical biophysics in Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. My research interest lies in the area of platelet signaling, platelet functional responses (especially degranulation) and changes in platelet glycocalyx (desialylation). I study mechanisms of development of platelet dysfunction in acquired platelet diseases, such as Immune thrombocytopenia, Kaposiform hemangioendothelioma, COVID-19 infection etc. I use flow cytometry as my main approach to study platelets. I also use computational modeling as a tool to study platelets signaling.
