Dr. Magdalena Ludmila Bochenek was born on 18.11.1980 in Poland. She finished her Bachelor degree in Biology at the University of Opole, in Opole, Poland. Afterwards she started her two-year master degree at the University of Wroclaw, also in Poland. During the second year of master degree, Dr. Bochenek received scholarship and prepared her master thesis in the laboratory of Medical Biochemistry, at the University of Reims in France. In time between 2005-2009 Dr. Bochenek prepared her PhD thesis, entitled: ‘Regulation of cell motility by ephrin-B2 signalling’ at the laboratory of Prof. Catherine Nobes, Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, School of Medical Sciences, at the University of Bristol, Bristol, UK. In November 2008 until 2012 Dr. Bochenek started her postdoctoral research associate position with Prof. Ralf H. Adams, at Max-Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine in Muenster, Germany and since 2013 she is working with Prof. Katrin Schaefer at the Center for Thrombosis and Hemostasis and Center of Cardiology, Cardiology I, at the University Medical Center in Mainz.
